The SS Bigwin and the Lake of Bays Marine Museum are located at the heart of Dorset, Ontario — one of Muskoka’s most charming villages.
Our Location
Public Dock, Main Street

You’ll find us right at the public dock in the centre of the village. The museum is steps from the dock, and the SS Bigwin departs from the same location. Look for the heritage vessel at the waterfront — you can’t miss her.
Hours of Operation
The SS Bigwin cruise season runs from May through October, seven days a week. Museum hours align with cruise departures. Please call ahead for the current schedule: 1-844-424-4946.
Getting Here
From Toronto
Approximately 2.5 hours north via Highway 400 and Highway 11. Take the Dorset exit and follow signs to Main Street and the public dock.
From Huntsville
Just 30 minutes east along Highway 35. A beautiful drive through classic Muskoka landscape.
From Dwight
A short drive along Highway 60. The SS Bigwin also departs from the Dwight Public Dock on select cruises.
Parking
Free parking is available at the Dorset public dock. During peak summer weekends, we recommend arriving early to secure your spot. Additional overflow parking is available nearby in the village.
